Happy Fathers Day to our fathers and grandfathers. Chris didn't want me to buy him a card so I used my geek powers to make him this video.
One of the things that attracted me to Chris was his playfulness, humor and those brief glimpses of the little boy he used to be. Those glimpses of that little boy and the way he so lovingly cared for his dog, Floyd, made me think he would be a great father some day. So it is no surprise to me, now that we have a child, that he really is a great father. We have reversed the traditional roles of society since he stays home and cares for Cooper while I work the 9-5 job. Those who don't have children may think he got the best part of the deal. But those who do have children know the truth, caring for an infant is more than a full time job. In addition to watching Cooper he has taken over grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning and still works a job doing real estate appraisals. So even though he's only been a father for 5 months I think it's safe to say Chris has more than earned his first Fathers Day.
