Five Months Old

Cooper turned 5 months old on June 8. It seems like he discovers something new every day. Right now he likes to lie on his back and pull his legs up so he can grab his feet. He is also starting to reach out and grab toys and things and then play with them. His other favorite activity is to practice his vocals. He babbles often making a range of odd sounds. His most recent is extremely high pitched to the point where I think Floyd is the only one who can here it. He really likes to be held up so he is standing and really likes it when you hold him in the air as if he were flying like superman.

He's also been going through a growth spurt. We've moved up to size 2 diapers and he now eats 6oz during several of his feedings. This week he seems to have really bulked up and feels much more solid and heavy when you pick him up.

Last weekend we went to a picnic for Johnny and Angela who are moving to South Carolina for a year. Chris and the guys were all neighbors on Stewart street at OU. Here's a picture of them now with all their kids. It was fun to get together and compare parent notes.


Cooper has started grabbing his ears when he gets really tired.


He has also started dressing like Chris.
