Cooper was very excited to go to preschool this morning and decided to dress it up a bit by wearing his cowboy hat. Although he was a little disappointed that he didn't get to take his lunch in his new Buzz Lightyear lunchbox. He also wanted to make sure that Floyd was going to go to "preschool dog school" while we were gone. Once there, he wasted no time exploring his room and was very friendly with the other kids. Most of the other kids were shy and wary of the new surroundings, not Cooper, he said "Hey buddy" or "Hi sis" to each kid. While the parents were meeting (in very small chairs) he pulled up a chair of his own and sat down like we were there for coffee. He was actually upset when we left (mostly because he didn't get to checkout the playground). This evening he kept asking "Where are my parents?" We spent quite some time trying to explain to him that WE were his parents but he kept saying "No. My parents. My people from school" Apparently he meant the parents of the kids in his class. We're hoping he just likes the company and doesn't want to trade us in on a better pair. Hopefully things will go well Thursday when he stays for four hours. We talked about it tonight and he is very excited to go back and play and eat lunch with "his people".
