According to Cooper this is what happened..."I jumped in the bed. Then I crashed and oww my leg!". His story also included a reenactment of how he landed with his legs splayed in all directions. He really likes to tell the story so feel free to ask him. We knew we were on borrowed time in this area but it was so nice sleeping in on weekends (is 8:30 sleeping in?) that we just went with it. It's all over now since Chris converted the crib to a toddler bed today. Needless to say, Cooper was very excited about this change. So when I put him to bed I told him he had to stay in bed until morning. Of course, I had barely left the room before he was at the door. I told him to go back to bed and when I checked he was sitting on the floor. I asked him what was wrong he said "I cry". So I offered to sit with him a minute and he got back in bed. Then I sang him Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (his favorite) and he said "thanks mom" and gave me a kiss. He hasn't been up since although we can hear him quietly talking and singing to himself. I wonder what the morning will bring...more precisely...how early will it begin.
