Trick or Treat 2009

Trick or Treat was a lot of fun. Tiring, but fun. I never realized
there were so many houses with so many steps in our neighborhood.
Cooper had a great time. He was usually more interested in the
pumpkins and decorations than taking candy. He liked to talk about the
scary monsters...and leaves...and trees...and pumpkins...and the
dark...you get the idea...EVERYTHING was scary tonight. One house had
a toy coffin and when you pushed the button a monster popped out and
made scary noises. Coop slowly backed away then screamed. He said
thank you at most houses but towards the end he was getting tired and
when I said "What do you say?" he said "You're welcome". That got a
good laugh from the homeowner. The biggest laugh was at a house where
he said "Scary monsters." and the homeowner said "Scary monsters?" and
Cooper said "Where?!?". He was pretty tired after pilaging our street
and the street behind us so we headed home. Once home, he proceeded to
take each piece of candy from the bag and very deliberately arrange
them on the ottoman. Then he put everything in a special box for
safekeeping. Such a funny little kid.
