Emilie's a little preoccupied at the moment so I (her husband Chris) have been given the task to provide a belated update. Cooper Frederick Meade was born at 6:32am on January 8th. The labor was quick (NOT EASY). Emilie was a real trooper and came through it with flying colors.
Our new little bundle of joy cried .....and then promptly peed on the doctor. His breathing was good and his color was good and after only 34 weeks and 6 days in the mother, and weighing only 4 lbs 5 ounces, the doctors pronounced that he was good enough to go to the regular nursery with the "big babies".
Emilie is scheduled to be released tomorrow and will most likely resume her blogging duties post haste. Until then here is a photo of fetus formerly known as Peabo....(by the way we're having one hell of a time not calling him that anymore.)

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you!!! We are so happy to hear that both Cooper and Em are doing well, and so excited about your good news!

Preemies are awesome. Don't go out and buy a bunch of preemie clothes, he might wear them once. If that. William got a few outfits and he out grew them right away. I was just telling Stace that you had the preeclampsia last night. (Her computer may be unplugged and she doesn't know what to do:) I'm so glad he is with the big babies. Congratulations! Hello caffine...
YIPPEE! Stats please! length, time, how long was labor? The ladies care about these things!
What a good name for an adorable kid. Congrats Em and Chris.
